Digital tools and strategies for learning in software development
Reflection:
Creating a mind map of my Personal Learning Environment helped me realize how many tools I rely on to study and grow as a future software developer. Each application or platform I use is part of a digital ecosystem that supports my learning in a different way.
For programming, I use Visual Studio to build and test my code. YouTube provides thousands of tutorials and guides that help me understand complex topics. Lucidchart helps me visualize systems and databases through diagrams. MongoDB is a tool I’ve explored for handling NoSQL databases, while Canva allows me to design presentations and materials creatively. I also use WhatsApp to communicate with classmates and instructors, making collaboration easier and faster.
Each tool has its own role: some help me understand theory, others let me practice, and some make it easier to communicate or present my ideas. Together, they create a space where I can learn actively, solve problems, and connect with others.
Reflecting on this map made me more aware of how important it is to choose the right tools and to organize my learning process. It’s not just about collecting apps — it’s about knowing how and when to use each one effectively.
In the end, I understood that my learning is not limited to a classroom. It happens everywhere — through every click, every project, and every shared idea.
